FASTAR provides smooth real-time D1 (720 x 576) resolution video recording with lip-synchronised audio on every channel. It is designed for dedicated surveillance applications such as community safety, casino, custody, airport, transport, cash-counting areas and similar sites. Every channel independently records from 1 to 25 fps using any combination of continuous recording, activity detection, or external alarm input.
FASTAR Server is designed as a server-based digital video recording system with management, live viewing and playback through
CONTROL SMS. Multiple FASTAR Server recorders are typically linked together to provide seamless recording of hundreds of cameras.
FASTAR runs Embedded Linux on purpose-designed hardware to provide a highly reliable and secure recording system. All configuration settings remain embedded within the flash memory of each recorder leaving the hard disks to store recorded data only. Software upgrade of FASTAR is fully automatic and can be carried out system wide in seconds by sending the update over the network.
