Q.
How do I gain access to the configuration of the Data Logger?
A.
A keycode is required to enable use and access of the Data Logger. Confirmation of the keycode is available by order from our Technical Support department. We would also require the SN of the system to process the keycode generation.
Q.
Which products from the DER range support Data Logging?
A.
All products with the OCTAR and FASTAR product ranges support Data Logging.
Q.
How many data channel are available for recording in OCTAR and FASTAR?
A.
OCTAR and FASTAR are capable of recording 16 channels of text data simultaneously. The source data may then be associated with any video channel.
Q.
What interface options are available within OCTAR and FASTAR for receiving data to be recorded?
A.
The Data Logger can be interfaced through either the RS232 port or optimally via Ethernet. Where Ethernet interfacing is used no additional hardware is required thus data integration and recording is totally transparent.
Q.
Is Data Logging within OCTAR and FASTAR limited to specific types of data?
A.
The Data Logger will record any type of data presented to the system provided the data is correctly assigned. Source options include EPOS systems, ANPR systems, Time & Attendance Systems, Access Control, ATM, Fuel Pumps, Quality Processes and almost other data source the can be configured appropriately.
Q.
In what format is the recorded data accessed.
A.
All recorded data is accessed via searchable options based upon user specified criteria. As the data is time stamped synchronisation with video and audio is embedded. Searching for specific data returns the video with data overlay producing an extremely powerful information solution.
